UK born Dj/Producer Andy Leavy is an enigmatic character from the progressive music scene.
From the late 90’s, a contributor of editorial and pictorial works to the worlds leading dance music publications, leading into his first musical production contributions with collaborative partner Rob Sparx in 2004.
Under the guise of Dirty Thieving Mongrels, their productions were supported by Nick Warren, Laurent Garnier, James Zabiela and Anthony Pappa to name a few.
Fast forward to 2011, through to 2015, Andy worked under the alias as Edit Smith, providing Balearic Infused Electronica releases for Bora Bora’s founder Gee Moore, and performing warm up sets for Grammy Award Winning Electronic Band, Nero.
In 2017, Andy reverts back to his original name to provide a debut release for Bonzai Progressive Compilation contributions via Green Martian, and in 2018, reaches his first chart entry for Beatport with his debut for Vesta. Andy finished 2018 with a debut release for Emotional Content Recordings.
When not producing or DJ’ing, Andy resides in the coastal areas of North Devon, working in functional testing and compliance of Electronic Equipment including music production and DJ’ing technology.
